  • 1 lb fresh green beans
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 8 oz button or cremini mushrooms, sliced

  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 0.5 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 0.25 tsp ground black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup crispy fried onions
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Trim the ends of the green beans and blanch them in a large pot of salted boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Step 3

In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon, crumble it, and set aside. Reserve 2 tablespoons of the bacon fat in the skillet.
