  • 1.5 lbs Ground lamb (or beef, if preferred)
  • 0.5 cups Breadcrumbs
  • 1 large Egg
  • 0.5 cups Onion, finely diced

  • 1 tbsp Dried oregano
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin
  • 0.5 tsp Ground coriander
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 cup Plain Greek yogurt
  • 0.25 cup Cucumber, finely grated
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp Dill, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 6 pieces Pita bread
  • 2 medium Tomatoes, sliced
  • 0.5 cups Red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups Lettuce, shredded

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a loaf pan lightly with olive oil.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb, breadcrumbs, egg, diced onion, minced garlic, oregano, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix well until the ingredients are fully incorporated.

Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan, pressing it down firmly and evenly. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
