Ingredients

  • 16 ounces Frozen green peas
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, cubed
  • 6 slices Cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 0.5 cup Red onion, finely diced
  • 0.5 cup Mayonnaise
  • 0.25 cup Sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Remove the frozen peas from the freezer and allow them to thaw at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes. Alternatively, rinse them under cold water until thawed. Drain thoroughly and set aside.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, add the thawed and drained peas, cubed cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and finely diced red onion.

Step 3

In a separate small bowl, prepare the dressing by whisking together the mayonnaise, sour cream, apple cider vinegar, granulated sugar, salt, and black pepper until smooth and creamy.

Step 4

Pour the dressing over the pea mixture and gently toss everything together until the peas and other ingredients are evenly coated.

Step 5

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together.

Step 6

Before serving, give the salad a quick stir. Serve chilled as a side dish alongside your favorite main courses.
