Ingredients

  • 3 oz (1 box) Strawberry-flavored gelatin
  • 3 oz (1 box) Lime-flavored gelatin
  • 3 oz (1 box) Orange-flavored gelatin
  • 6 cups (divided as 3 cups boiling + 3 cups cold) Water
  • 1 cup Crushed pineapple (drained)
  • 1.5 cups (divided) Sour cream
  • 1 cup Mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup Whipped topping
  • 0.5 cup Maraschino cherries (halved)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium bowl, dissolve the strawberry-flavored gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir well, then add 1 cup of cold water and mix until fully combined. Pour the mixture into a 9x13-inch glass dish and refrigerate for 30 minutes or until the gelatin is slightly set but still soft.

Step 2

In another bowl, dissolve the lime-flavored gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir, then add 1 cup of cold water. Once fully dissolved, mix in 1/2 cup sour cream and crushed pineapple. Stir to combine, then gently pour this mixture over the slightly set strawberry layer. Refrigerate for another 30 minutes or until set.

Step 3

For the third layer, dissolve the orange-flavored gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir, then add 1 cup of cold water. Let the mixture cool slightly, then gently fold in the mini marshmallows and remaining 1 cup of sour cream.

Step 4

Carefully pour the orange gelatin mixture over the lime layer and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until all layers are fully set.

Step 5

For the topping, spread the whipped topping evenly over the top of the set gelatin layers. Decorate with halved maraschino cherries on top.

Step 6

Chill the entire salad for an additional 1 hour before serving. Slice into squares or scoop into bowls to serve.
