  • 5 lbs Pork shoulder (bone-in or boneless)

  • 1 cup Apple cider vinegar
  • 2 cups Your favorite BBQ sauce
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 large Onion (sliced)
  • 8 pieces Optional: hamburger buns or sandwich rolls

Directions

Step 1

1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Alternatively, set your slow cooker or smoker to the same temperature (low).

2. In a small bowl, mix the salt, ground black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and brown sugar to make a spice rub.

3. Pat the pork shoulder dry with paper towels. Spread the yellow mustard evenly over the meat to create a thin layer. Sprinkle the spice rub generously all over, pressing it into the mustard to adhere.
