Ingredients

  • 3 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon (for batter)
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 pieces Large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Ground cinnamon (for topping)
  • 0.5 cup Powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 tablespoon Milk (for glaze)
  • 0.25 teaspoon Vanilla extract (for glaze)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and line it with parchment paper, letting the edges hang over for easy removal.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until fully combined.

Step 4

Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring just until the batter is combined. Do not overmix.

Step 5

In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon to create the cinnamon-sugar topping.

Step 6

Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter.

Step 7

Add the remaining batter on top, followed by the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Use a butter knife to gently swirl the batter and topping to create a marbled effect.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 50-55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the loaf cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Step 9

While the loaf cools, prepare the glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon of milk, and 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth. Adjust the consistency with more milk, if needed.

Step 10

Drizzle the glaze over the cooled loaf. Allow the glaze to set before slicing and serving.
