Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 packet Lipton Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.25 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 pieces large eggs
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup additional ketchup (for topping)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, Lipton Onion Soup Mix, breadcrumbs, milk, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, eggs, black pepper, and salt. Use your hands to gently mix everything together until well combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the meat loaf tough.

Step 3

Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan. Pat it down gently to form an even loaf shape.

Step 4

In a small bowl, mix the additional ketchup and brown sugar until smooth. Spread this mixture evenly over the top of the meat loaf to create a sweet and tangy glaze.

Step 5

Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 55–60 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the meat loaf reaches 160°F (71°C).

Step 6

Remove the meat loaf from the oven and let it rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing. This helps the juices redistribute and ensures clean slices.

Step 7

Serve the meat loaf warm with your favorite sides, such as mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a fresh salad.
