Ingredients

  • 500 grams Brussels sprouts
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 3 cloves Fresh garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper, freshly ground
  • 30 grams Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped walnuts (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

Wash the Brussels sprouts thoroughly and trim the ends. Slice each sprout in half lengthwise.

Step 3

In a large mixing bowl, toss the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper until well coated.

Step 4

Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, cut side down, for even caramelization.

Step 5

Roast in the preheated oven for 15–20 minutes, or until the sprouts are tender and have a golden-brown char on the edges.

Step 6

In a small bowl, mix the honey and balsamic vinegar until combined.

Step 7

Remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven and transfer them back to the mixing bowl. Drizzle the honey-balsamic mixture over the hot sprouts and toss gently to coat.

Step 8

Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the sprouts while they are still warm so it melts slightly. If desired, add chopped walnuts for extra crunch.

Step 9

Serve immediately as a side dish or enjoy them as a healthy snack. Watch your guests fall in love with Brussels sprouts!
