Ingredients

  • 12 pieces large eggs
  • 0.5 cups mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoons paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoons salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Place the eggs in a single layer in a large saucepan. Add enough cold water to cover the eggs by at least 1 inch.

Step 2

Bring the water to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, remove the saucepan from the heat, cover with a lid, and let the eggs sit in the hot water for 10 minutes.

Step 3

Meanwhile, prepare a large bowl of ice water. Once the eggs are done, transfer them to the ice water and let them cool completely for about 10 minutes.

Step 4

Gently tap the eggs on a hard surface to crack the shells. Peel the eggs under cold running water for easier shell removal.

Step 5

Slice each egg in half lengthwise and carefully scoop out the yolks, placing them into a medium mixing bowl. Arrange the egg whites cut-side up on a serving platter.

Step 6

Use a fork to mash the egg yolks until they are crumbly and smooth. Add mayonnaise, yellow mustard, white vinegar, sugar, salt, and black pepper to the yolks. Mix until creamy and well incorporated.

Step 7

Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the cavity of each egg white half. Use a piping bag with a decorative tip for a more elegant presentation, if desired.

Step 8

Lightly sprinkle paprika over the filled eggs for color and flavor. Optionally, garnish each egg with a small sprig of fresh parsley.

Step 9

Refrigerate the deviled eggs for at least 15 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled and enjoy!
