Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 0.5 lb Ground pork
  • 0.5 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 1 large Egg
  • 0.5 cup Yellow onion, finely minced
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1.5 cup Barbecue sauce
  • 0.5 cup Grape jelly
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, minced onion, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overmix.

Step 3

Using a tablespoon or small cookie scoop, form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs. Place the meatballs evenly spaced on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 4

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the meatballs are browned and cooked through.

Step 5

While the meatballs are baking, prepare the barbecue sauce. In a large skillet or saucepan, combine barbecue sauce, grape jelly, and Worcestershire sauce. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until the jelly is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.

Step 6

Once the meatballs are done baking, carefully transfer them to the skillet with the sauce. Gently toss to coat the meatballs in the sauce.

Step 7

Reduce the heat to low and simmer the meatballs in the sauce for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to meld together.

Step 8

Serve warm with toothpicks as a party appetizer or over rice as a main dish. Enjoy!
