Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.75 cup Milk
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 medium Yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 0.5 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dried parsley
  • 0.5 cup Ketchup or barbecue sauce for topping

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easier cleanup.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, chopped onion, minced garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and parsley. Use clean hands or a wooden spoon to mix everything until evenly combined, but avoid overmixing to keep the meatloaf tender.

Step 3

Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan, pressing it down gently to shape it into an even loaf.

Step 4

Spread the 1/2 cup of ketchup or barbecue sauce evenly over the top of the meatloaf for a delicious glaze.

Step 5

Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Step 6

Once done, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

Step 7

Carefully slice the meatloaf and serve warm. Pair it with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or your favorite side dishes for a comforting meal.
