  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef while breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Cook until no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat and set aside.

Step 3

Add the diced onion to the skillet and sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened and translucent.

Step 4

Stir in the frozen mixed vegetables, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until evenly combined.

Step 5

Return the cooked ground beef to the skillet and stir to combine with the vegetable and soup mixture.

Step 6

Transfer the mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

Step 7

Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the mixture, covering the entire surface.

Step 8

Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes, until the tater tots are crispy and golden brown.

Step 9

Remove the dish from the oven and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.

Step 10

Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Step 11

Let the hotdish cool for 5-10 minutes before serving. Enjoy your comforting Gramma's Hamburger Hotdish!
