Ingredients

  • 1 cup Gramflour (Besan)
  • 1 medium Onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 small Tomato (finely chopped)
  • 1 small Green chili (finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons Cilantro (fresh, chopped)
  • 0.5 teaspoons Carom seeds (Ajwain)
  • 0.25 teaspoons Turmeric powder
  • 0.25 teaspoons Red chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.75 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking oil

Directions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, add gramflour (besan), turmeric powder, red chili powder, carom seeds, and salt.

Step 2

Gradually add water to the dry ingredients while whisking to form a smooth, lump-free batter. The batter should have a pouring consistency similar to pancake batter.

Step 3

Add the chopped onion, tomato, green chili, and cilantro into the batter. Mix well to combine.

Step 4

Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle on medium heat and lightly grease it with a few drops of oil.
