  • 2 cups Heavy cream

  • 2 cups Shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cups Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 0.5 cups Bread crumbs

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with a small amount of butter or nonstick spray.

Step 2

Peel the potatoes and slice them evenly into thin rounds, about 1/8-inch thick. Use a mandoline slicer for precision if available.

Step 3

In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic (minced) and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.

Pour the heavy cream into the saucepan. Add the thyme leaves, salt, and pepper. Stir and heat the mixture gently until just warmed through. Do not let it boil.

In the prepared baking dish, arrange a single layer of potato slices, overlapping slightly. Sprinkle a layer of shredded cheddar cheese on top, followed by a light sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
