Ingredients

  • 7 cups Golden Grahams cereal
  • 5 cups Mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup Mini marshmallows (reserved for mixing in)
  • 2 cups Milk chocolate chips
  • 5 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0 Nonstick cooking spray

Directions

Step 1

Prepare a 9x13-inch baking dish by spraying it lightly with nonstick cooking spray and set it aside.

Step 2

In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.

Step 3

Add 5 cups of mini marshmallows to the pot and stir constantly until fully melted and smooth.

Step 4

Remove the pot from heat and quickly stir in the vanilla extract.

Step 5

Add the Golden Grahams cereal to the melted marshmallow mixture and gently fold it in until the cereal is evenly coated.

Step 6

Add the 1 cup of reserved mini marshmallows and 1 1/2 cups of chocolate chips to the mixture, folding gently to distribute them. Depending on the temperature, the chocolate chips may melt slightly, which is perfectly fine.

Step 7

Transfer the mixture into the prepared 9x13-inch baking dish and press it down gently with a spatula or clean hands to create an even layer. Be careful not to press too hard, as this can compact the squares and make them less chewy.

Step 8

Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of chocolate chips on top, lightly pressing them into the surface.

Step 9

Allow the mixture to cool and set at room temperature for about 1 hour. For faster results, you can place the dish in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.

Step 10

Once set, cut into 12 squares and serve. Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
