Ingredients

  • 1 sheet Puff pastry sheet
  • 150 grams Goat's cheese
  • 100 grams Cranberry sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Milk
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Plain flour (for dusting)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

Lightly dust your work surface with flour. Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 12 equal squares, approximately 7x7 cm each.

Step 3

Carefully transfer the pastry squares onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a little space between each piece.

Step 4

Using a sharp knife, lightly score a border about 1 cm from the edge of each square. Be careful not to cut all the way through the pastry.

Step 5

In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk to create an egg wash. Brush the borders of each pastry square with the egg wash to help them golden up while baking.

Step 6

Crumble the goat's cheese and place a small portion (about 1 tablespoon) in the center of each pastry square, keeping the cheese within the scored border.

Step 7

Add about 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce on top of the goat's cheese in each square.

Step 8

Sprinkle a few fresh thyme leaves over the goat's cheese and cranberry sauce. Season each tartlet lightly with salt and black pepper.

Step 9

Bake the tartlets in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the pastry is puffed up and golden brown.

Step 10

Remove from the oven and allow the tartlets to cool slightly before serving.
