Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup Tamari (gluten-free soy sauce)
  • 0.25 cup Pineapple juice
  • 2 tablespoons Rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Honey (or maple syrup for vegan option)
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon Water

Directions

Step 1

In a small saucepan, combine the tamari, pineapple juice, rice vinegar, honey (or maple syrup), sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic over medium heat.

Step 2

Stir the mixture constantly until it begins to heat through and the honey (if used) dissolves completely.

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water until smooth to create a slurry.

Step 4

Gradually add the slurry to the saucepan while stirring to avoid lumps. Continue stirring until the mixture thickens slightly, about 2-3 minutes.

Step 5

Remove the saucepan from heat and let the dressing cool to room temperature.

Step 6

Transfer the dressing to a jar or bottle for storage. Use immediately or refrigerate for up to one week.

Step 7

Shake or stir before using if the dressing separates during storage.
