  • 1 large Red bell pepper (sliced into strips)
  • 1 large Yellow bell pepper (sliced into strips)
  • 1 large Green bell pepper (sliced into strips)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger (grated)
  • 4 tablespoons Gluten-free tamari or soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Gluten-free oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons Cornstarch
  • 60 milliliters Water
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil (for cooking)
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 2 stalks Spring onion (sliced for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a small bowl, whisk together the gluten-free tamari, gluten-free oyster sauce, honey, sesame oil, cornstarch, and water to create the sauce. Set aside.

Step 2

Season the sliced beef with salt and ground black pepper.

Step 3

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Step 4

Add the beef to the skillet in a single layer and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until browned but not fully cooked. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

Step 5

Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the same skillet.

Step 6

Toss in the minced garlic and grated ginger. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 7

Add the sliced red, yellow, and green bell peppers. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, keeping the vegetables slightly crisp.

Step 8

Return the partially cooked beef to the skillet with the vegetables.

Step 9

Pour the prepared sauce over the beef and vegetables. Stir well to coat everything evenly.

Step 10

Cook for 2-3 more minutes until the sauce thickens and the beef is fully cooked through.

Step 11

Remove from heat and garnish with sliced spring onions.

Step 12

Serve immediately with steamed rice or gluten-free noodles, if desired.
