Ingredients

  • 8 ounces Gluten-free rice noodles
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili flakes
  • 3 tablespoons Gluten-free soy sauce (tamari)
  • 1 tablespoon Rice vinegar
  • 1.5 tablespoons Chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Honey or maple syrup
  • 2 stalks Green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Cilantro leaves (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Cook the gluten-free rice noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and rinse under cold water to prevent sticking. Set aside.

Step 2

In a large skillet or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium heat.

Step 3

Add the minced garlic and ginger to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let the garlic burn.

Step 4

Sprinkle the red chili flakes into the skillet and stir for about 30 seconds to release their flavors.

Step 5

In a small bowl, whisk together the gluten-free soy sauce (tamari), rice vinegar, chili garlic sauce, and honey or maple syrup.

Step 6

Pour the mixture into the skillet and stir to combine with the aromatics. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes to slightly thicken the sauce.

Step 7

Add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss well to coat them evenly in the spicy garlic chili sauce.

Step 8

Remove the skillet from heat and garnish the noodles with chopped green onions, toasted sesame seeds, and (if desired) cilantro leaves.

Step 9

Serve immediately and enjoy the bold, spicy flavors!
