Ingredients

  • 300 grams Ground pork
  • 200 grams Shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons Gluten-free soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon White pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped green onions
  • 50 grams Water chestnuts, finely chopped
  • 24 pieces Gluten-free wonton wrappers
  • 1 tablespoon Carrot, finely grated
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, finely grated

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground pork, chopped shrimp, gluten-free soy sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, sugar, white pepper, salt, chopped green onions, water chestnuts, and grated ginger. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.

Step 2

Prepare your steaming setup by bringing water to a boil in a steamer or a large pot with a steamer rack.

Step 3

Lay out the gluten-free wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center of each wrapper.

Step 4

Carefully gather the edges of the wrapper around the filling, and gently press together to form an open-topped dumpling. Lightly tap the bottom on a surface to flatten it, ensuring they stand upright.

Step 5

Top each dumpling with a small pinch of grated carrot for garnish.

Step 6

Place the dumplings in the steamer, ensuring they do not touch. Cover with a lid and steam for about 8-10 minutes or until the filling is cooked through and firm.

Step 7

Serve hot with gluten-free soy sauce for dipping, or your choice of dipping sauce.
