Ingredients

  • 2 pieces Gluten-Free Hamburger Buns
  • 300 grams Ground Beef (80% lean)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 slices American Cheese Slices
  • 2 leaves Iceberg Lettuce
  • 1 medium Tomato
  • 2 tablespoons Gluten-Free Mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Dill Pickle Brine
  • 1 teaspoon Yellow Mustard
  • 4 slices Pickles

Directions

Step 1

Prepare your special sauce by mixing the gluten-free mayonnaise, ketchup, dill pickle brine, and yellow mustard in a small bowl. Set aside.

Step 2

Slice the tomato into 1/4 inch-thick rounds and set aside.

Step 3

Preheat a cast-iron skillet or heavy-bottomed pan over medium-high heat.

Step 4

Season the ground beef with salt and black pepper, then divide it into two equal portions, roughly 150 grams each. Form each portion into a loose ball.

Step 5

Once the skillet is hot, place the beef balls in the pan and immediately flatten them using a spatula to about 1/2 inch thickness. Cook for about 2 minutes on the first side until a crust forms.

Step 6

Flip each patty and place a slice of American cheese on top. Cook for another 1-2 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the patties are cooked to your preference.

Step 7

While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the gluten-free buns either in a toaster or a separate pan.

Step 8

On the bottom of each toasted bun, spread a generous spoonful of the special sauce. Place a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato on top.

Step 9

Once the cheeseburgers are cooked, place them on top of the tomato slices. Add two slices of pickles on each burger.

Step 10

Spread another spoonful of special sauce on the top bun and place it over the pickles to complete the burger.

Step 11

Serve immediately and enjoy your gluten-free Shake Shack style burger!
