Ingredients

  • 250 g raw prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 4 slices gluten-free bread slices
  • 1 piece spring onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, finely grated
  • 1 tablespoon gluten-free soy sauce
  • 1 piece egg white
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon white pepper
  • 50 g sesame seeds
  • 250 ml vegetable oil, for frying

Directions

Step 1

Place the raw prawns in a food processor. Pulse until you have a coarse paste.

Step 2

Add the finely chopped spring onion, grated ginger, gluten-free soy sauce, egg white, sesame oil, salt, and white pepper to the prawn paste. Blend together until well combined.

Step 3

Spread the prawn mixture evenly over one side of each slice of gluten-free bread.

Place the sesame seeds on a flat plate. Press the prawn-covered side of each bread slice into the sesame seeds to coat it thoroughly.
