Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 250 grams button mushrooms
  • 250 grams shiitake mushrooms
  • 1 medium red bell pepper
  • 3 stalks green onions
  • 1 inch piece fresh ginger
  • 3 cloves garlic cloves
  • 3 tablespoons gluten-free tamari sauce
  • 2 tablespoons gluten-free oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Clean the button and shiitake mushrooms with a damp paper towel to remove any dirt. Slice them into thin pieces.

Step 2

Slice the red bell pepper into thin strips, and finely chop the green onions. Grate the ginger and mince the garlic cloves.

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix the gluten-free tamari sauce, gluten-free oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Set aside.

Step 4

In another small bowl, stir together the cornstarch and water until smooth. This will be used to thicken the sauce.

Step 5

Heat the olive oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.

Step 6

Add the ginger and garlic to the pan and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 7

Add the mushrooms and red bell pepper to the pan, stirring frequently. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

Step 8

Pour in the tamari and oyster sauce mixture, and increase the heat to high.

Step 9

Stir in the green onions, salt, and black pepper.

Step 10

Quickly add the cornstarch mixture to the pan, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.

Step 11

Remove from heat and sprinkle the stir fry with sesame seeds.

Step 12

Serve immediately with your choice of gluten-free grains or noodles.
