Ingredients

  • 250 grams Ground chicken
  • 2 tablespoons Gluten-free soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 stalks Scallions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 20 pieces Gluten-free wonton wrappers
  • 500 milliliters Vegetable oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 3 tablespoons Water

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, gluten-free soy sauce, sesame oil, ground black pepper, minced garlic, chopped scallions, cornstarch, and salt. Mix until well combined and the spices are evenly distributed throughout the meat.

Step 2

Take one gluten-free wonton wrapper and place it on a clean, dry surface. Put about a teaspoon of the chicken mixture in the center of the wrapper.

Step 3

Using your fingertip, lightly moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold it over to form a triangle, pressing the edges to seal tightly and ensure no filling escapes during frying.

Step 4

If desired, bring the two corners of the triangle together and press them with a little more water to seal, forming a traditional dumpling shape.

Step 5

Repeat this process with the remaining wrappers and chicken mixture until all are filled and sealed.

Step 6

In a deep pan or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).

Step 7

Carefully place several wontons in the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan, and fry for 2-3 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.

Step 8

Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried pangsit from the oil and drain them on a paper towel-lined plate.

Step 9

Repeat the frying process with the remaining wontons.

Step 10

Serve the gluten-free pangsit hot, accompanied by your favorite dipping sauce.
