Ingredients

  • 12 oz gluten-free elbow macaroni
  • 1 lb lobster meat, cooked and chopped
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp gluten-free all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp ground black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp sea salt
  • 0.5 cup gluten-free breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2

Cook the gluten-free elbow macaroni according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Step 3

In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the gluten-free all-purpose flour to create a roux. Cook, stirring constantly, for about 2 minutes until the mixture is bubbly and golden.

Step 4

Gradually whisk in the whole milk and heavy cream. Continue to cook and stir until the mixture thickens and begins to bubble.

Step 5

Reduce the heat to low and add the shredded sharp cheddar cheese and Gruyère cheese. Stir until the cheeses have melted and the sauce is smooth.

Step 6

Add the garlic powder, onion powder, ground black pepper, and sea salt to the cheese sauce. Mix well.

Step 7

Gently fold in the cooked and drained elbow macaroni and the chopped lobster meat until everything is evenly coated with the cheese sauce.

Step 8

Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. In a small bowl, combine the gluten-free breadcrumbs and grated parmesan cheese, and then sprinkle it evenly over the mac and cheese.

Step 9

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden and the cheese is bubbly.

Step 10

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
