Ingredients

  • 2 cups Chickpea flour (also known as gram flour or besan)
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 2 tablespoons Ground flaxseed

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the chickpea flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and dried oregano.

Step 3

In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs until well-beaten, then add in the water and olive oil. Mix until combined.

Step 4

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until you have a smooth batter. Make sure there are no lumps.

Step 5

Stir in the ground flaxseed, ensuring it is evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Step 6

Pour the batter onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it out evenly into a circle or rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.

Step 7

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.

Step 8

Allow the flatbread to cool slightly on a wire rack before cutting into pieces. Serve warm or at room temperature.
