Ingredients

  • 12 ounces Gluten-Free Fusilli Pasta
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 28 ounces Canned Crushed Tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the gluten-free fusilli pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

In a large skillet or saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Step 3

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pan. Sauté for 3-4 minutes or until the onion becomes translucent.

Step 4

Add the ground beef to the pan. Cook while breaking it up with a spoon or spatula until it is browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

Step 5

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.

Step 6

Reduce the heat to low and let the sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to blend.

Step 7

Toss the cooked fusilli pasta with the meat sauce in the skillet until the pasta is well-coated.

Step 8

Serve the pasta hot, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
