Ingredients

  • 4 pieces gluten-free large tortillas
  • 500 grams lean ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning mix
  • 60 milliliters water
  • 4 pieces gluten-free small corn tostada shells
  • 120 grams shredded cheddar cheese
  • 120 grams sour cream
  • 120 grams shredded lettuce
  • 120 grams diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef. Cook the beef, breaking it up with a spoon, until fully browned, about 8-10 minutes.

Step 2

Drain any excess fat from the skillet and add the taco seasoning mix and water to the beef. Stir well to combine and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat.

Step 3

Lay a gluten-free large tortilla flat on a clean surface.

Step 4

Spread 1-2 tablespoons of sour cream in the center of the tortilla.

Step 5

Add a few tablespoons of the seasoned ground beef over the sour cream.

Step 6

Top the beef with some shredded cheddar cheese and gently place a tostada shell on top of the cheese.

Step 7

Add a small layer of lettuce and diced tomatoes on top of the tostada shell.

Step 8

Fold the edges of the tortilla over the center, working your way around until the filling is completely enclosed. Consider using a small piece of additional tortilla in the center to fully close any gaps.

Step 9

Repeat the folding process with the remaining tortillas and fillings.

Step 10

Heat 1/2 tablespoon of olive oil in a clean skillet over medium heat. Place a folded wrap seam-side down in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Flip and cook the other side similarly.

Step 11

Repeat the cooking process with remaining wraps, adding more olive oil to the skillet as needed.

Step 12

Once cooked and crispy, allow the wraps to rest for a minute before serving. Slice each wrap in half and serve immediately.
