Ingredients

  • 1 pound Crab meat
  • 1 cup Gluten-free breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Gluten-free Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil or butter
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, gently mix together the crab meat, gluten-free breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce until combined.

Step 2

In a separate small bowl, beat the eggs and then add them to the crab mixture along with the lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Carefully fold everything together to maintain lumps of crab.

Step 3

Shape the mixture into approximately 8 patties, each about 1/2 inch thick.

Step 4

Heat the olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Swirl the pan to evenly coat the bottom with the fat.

Step 5

Once the oil is hot, add the crab cakes to the skillet without overcrowding. You may need to cook them in batches.

Step 6

Cook the crab cakes for 3-4 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.

Step 7

Transfer the cooked crab cakes to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Step 8

Serve hot with a side of tartar sauce or your favorite gluten-free dipping sauce.
