Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef (preferably 80% lean)
  • 12 pieces Gluten-free burger slider buns
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 12 pieces Cheddar cheese slices, cut into quarters
  • 6 pieces Lettuce leaves
  • 1 medium Tomato, sliced
  • 12 slices Pickle slices
  • 0 (to taste) Ketchup
  • 0 (to taste) Mustard

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined to avoid overworking the meat.

Step 2

Divide the meat mixture into 12 equal portions and shape them into small patties, about 2 1/2 inches in diameter. Press a small indent in the center of each patty to ensure even cooking.

Step 3

Preheat a grill or a large skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates or the skillet surface.

Step 4

Grill or fry the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F for well-done. Add a quarter slice of cheddar cheese on each patty in the last minute of cooking to melt.

Step 5

While patties are cooking, lightly toast the gluten-free slider buns in the oven or on a separate grill grate.

Step 6

To assemble the sliders, place a small lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun. Add a cooked beef patty with melted cheese, followed by a slice of tomato, and a pickle slice.

Step 7

Drizzle with ketchup and mustard to taste (optional), then cap with the top half of the bun.

Step 8

Serve the sliders warm and enjoy. These make for a delicious handheld treat at any gathering!
