Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground beef (80% lean)
  • 0.25 cup Gluten-free breadcrumbs
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp Onion powder
  • 4 pieces Gluten-free hamburger buns
  • 4 pieces Lettuce leaves
  • 8 pieces Tomato slices
  • 4 pieces Cheddar cheese slices (optional)
  • 0.25 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tbsp Mustard
  • 12 pieces Pickle slices
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil

Directions

Step 1

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, gluten-free breadcrumbs, egg, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Step 2

Divide the beef mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties about 1/2 inch thick.

Step 3

Preheat a grill or a large skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly brush the grill or skillet with olive oil.

Step 4

Place the burger patties on the preheated grill or skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the beef is cooked to your desired level of doneness. If using cheese, add it on top of the patties during the last minute of cooking to melt.
