Ingredients

  • 1 sheet Gluten-free puff pastry
  • 6 slices Ham slices
  • 150 grams Cheddar cheese
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 tablespoon Milk
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Dried oregano

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

Roll out the gluten-free puff pastry on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle, approximately 10x14 inches.

Step 3

Lay the ham slices evenly over the pastry, leaving a margin of about 1 inch around the edges.

Step 4

Grate the cheddar cheese and sprinkle it over the ham slices.

Step 5

Sprinkle ground black pepper and dried oregano evenly over the cheese.

Step 6

Carefully roll up the pastry, starting from one of the longer edges, to create a log shape.

Step 7

Seal the edge by pressing lightly with your fingers.

Step 8

In a small bowl, beat together the egg and milk to make an egg wash.

Step 9

Brush the egg wash over the top of the roll to give it a glossy finish when baked.

Step 10

Slice the roll into pieces about 1 inch thick and place them on the prepared baking sheet, cut side down.

Step 11

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and puffed up.

Step 12

Remove from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving.
