Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 count gluten-free hamburger buns
  • 4 slices sliced cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 leaves lettuce leaves
  • 1 medium, sliced tomato
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your grill or frying pan over medium-high heat.

Step 2

In a mixing bowl, add the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently to combine, being careful not to overwork the meat.

Step 3

Divide the ground beef mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties about 3/4-inch thick.

Step 4

Place the bacon slices in a separate pan over medium heat and cook until crispy. Drain on paper towels and set aside.

Step 5

Place the beef patties on the grill or pan and cook for about 5-6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Step 6

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese over each patty and cover the grill or pan to melt the cheese.

Step 7

While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the gluten-free buns on the grill or a separate pan until golden brown.

Step 8

To assemble the burgers, spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun.

Step 9

Place a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato on each bun, then top with the cheese-topped burger patty.

Step 10

Add two slices of bacon on top of each patty and finish with the top bun.

Step 11

Serve immediately with your choice of sides.
