Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef
  • 0.5 pound Ground pork
  • 0.5 cup Gluten-free bread crumbs
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 piece Large egg
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 4 ounces Mozzarella cheese, cubed
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 cups Marinara sauce

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef and ground pork.

Step 3

Add the gluten-free bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, milk, minced garlic, onion powder, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper to the meat mixture and mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.

Step 4

Take a small amount of the meat mixture, about 2 tablespoons, and flatten it in the palm of your hand.

Step 5

Place a cube of mozzarella cheese in the center and wrap the meat around the cheese, rolling it into a ball. Ensure the cheese is completely covered to prevent leaking during cooking.

Step 6

Repeat the process with the remaining meat mixture and cheese cubes.

Step 7

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 8

Add the meatballs in batches and sear them until all sides are browned, about 5 minutes per batch. You don’t need to cook them through at this stage.

Step 9

Transfer the browned meatballs to the prepared baking sheet.

Step 10

Once all meatballs are browned and on the baking sheet, bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, until fully cooked through.

Step 11

While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over low heat.

Step 12

Once the meatballs are done, remove them from the oven and carefully add them to the marinara sauce, allowing them to simmer for an additional 5 minutes.

Step 13

Serve the cheese-stuffed meatballs hot, accompanied by your favorite side or over gluten-free pasta.
