Ingredients

  • 250 grams Ground chicken
  • 2 tablespoons Gluten-free soy sauce
  • 4 tablespoons Green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 24 pieces Gluten-free wonton wrappers
  • 5 cups Chicken broth
  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 cups Bok choy, chopped
  • 1 medium Carrot, julienned
  • 0.5 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Directions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, 1 tablespoon of gluten-free soy sauce, 2 tablespoons of chopped green onions, ginger, and garlic. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed.

Step 2

Prepare a clean work surface and lay out the gluten-free wonton wrappers. Place about 1 teaspoon of the chicken mixture onto the center of each wrapper.

Step 3

Moisten the edges of each wrapper with water using your fingertip. Fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle and press the edges to seal. Ensure there are no air pockets. Set aside the filled wontons.

Step 4

In a large pot, bring the chicken broth and water to a gentle boil over medium-high heat.

Step 5

Once boiling, carefully add the filled wontons to the pot. Reduce heat to medium-low and allow them to cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the wontons float to the surface and the chicken is fully cooked.

Step 6

Add the chopped bok choy and julienned carrots to the soup and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

Step 7

Stir in the remaining 1 tablespoon of gluten-free soy sauce and 1/2 teaspoon of sesame oil. Season the soup with salt and black pepper to taste.

Step 8

Ladle the wonton soup into bowls and garnish with the remaining chopped green onions and fresh cilantro.

Step 9

Serve hot and enjoy your gluten-free boiled wonton soup.
