In a large mixing bowl, combine the jowar flour and salt.
Gradually add the water to the flour mixture, stirring with a spoon to form a dough. If the dough is too dry, add a little more water; if it's too sticky, add a little more flour.
Knead the dough by hand for about 3-4 minutes until smooth. The dough should be soft and pliable.
Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into a ball.
Flatten each ball slightly and roll out into a circle of about 6-7 inches in diameter on a lightly floured surface using a rolling pin.
Heat a non-stick skillet or tawa over medium heat.
Place the rolled bhakri onto the hot skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until small bubbles appear or the bottom shows light golden spots.
Flip the bhakri and cook the other side for another 2 minutes until it's thoroughly cooked.
Press gently around the edges with a clean cloth or spatula to ensure it cooks evenly and puff up a little, if possible.
