Ingredients

  • 1 pound Beef sirloin steak
  • 1 medium Red bell pepper
  • 1 medium Green bell pepper
  • 1 medium Yellow bell pepper
  • 1 large Onion
  • 0.25 cup Gluten-free soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 0.5 cup Gluten-free beef broth
  • 3 large Garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Sliced green onions

Directions

Step 1

Thinly slice the beef sirloin steak against the grain. Set aside.

Step 2

Cut the red, green, and yellow bell peppers into thin strips. Slice the onion thinly. Mince the garlic and grate the fresh ginger.

Step 3

In a small bowl, combine the gluten-free soy sauce, cornstarch, and gluten-free beef broth. Stir until the cornstarch is dissolved. Set aside.

Step 4

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Step 5

Add the sliced beef to the skillet, season with salt and black pepper, and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until it's browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

Step 6

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil and sesame oil. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 7

Add the sliced bell peppers and onion to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are just tender but still crisp.

Step 8

Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the vegetables.

Step 9

Pour the soy sauce mixture over the beef and vegetables. Stir well to coat everything evenly. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

Step 10

Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Step 11

Serve hot over cooked rice or gluten-free noodles, if desired.
