Ingredients

  • 450 grams Beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons Gluten-free soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons Gluten-free fermented black beans
  • 1 large Red bell pepper, julienned
  • 1 large Green bell pepper, julienned
  • 240 milliliters Gluten-free beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking sherry
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons Scallions, sliced for garnish

Directions

Step 1

In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef, 1 tablespoon of gluten-free soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Mix well and let it marinate for 10 minutes.

Step 2

Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef slices and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until they are brown and just cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

Step 3

In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Return the beef to the skillet and add the beef broth, remaining 2 tablespoons of gluten-free soy sauce, cooking sherry, sugar, and sesame oil. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

Step 7

In a small bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water to make a slurry. Pour the slurry into the skillet and stir until the sauce thickens.

Step 8

Once the sauce reaches your desired consistency, remove the skillet from heat, garnish with sliced scallions, and serve immediately.
