Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 whole gluten-free hamburger buns
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 whole lettuce leaves
  • 1 large tomato
  • 8 whole pickle slices
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 4 tablespoons ketchup

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your grill or skillet to medium-high heat.

Step 2

Divide the ground beef into four equal portions and shape them into patties about 1/2 inch thick. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Step 3

Place the bacon slices in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook until crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.

Step 4

While the bacon is cooking, slice the tomato into thin rounds and set them aside.

Step 5

Place the beef patties on the preheated grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them over.

Step 6

Add a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking on the second side, covering the grill to melt the cheese.

Step 7

Grill or toast the gluten-free buns until lightly golden, about 1-2 minutes.

Step 8

Assemble the burgers by spreading 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom of each bun. Add a leaf of lettuce, followed by the cheesy beef patty.

Step 9

Top each patty with two slices of crispy bacon, a few slices of tomato, and a couple of pickle slices. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of ketchup on each.

Step 10

Complete the burger with the top bun and serve immediately.
