Ingredients

  • 1 pound Ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Onion powder
  • 4 slices Gluten-free bacon (thick-cut)
  • 2 pieces Gluten-free burger buns
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese slices
  • 4 pieces Lettuce leaves
  • 1 large Tomato
  • 1 small Red onion
  • 4 slices Pickles
  • 2 tablespoons Gluten-free mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Gluten-free ketchup

Directions

Step 1

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.

Step 2

In a large bowl, season the ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently to combine.

Step 3

Divide the seasoned beef into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 1/2 inch thick.

Step 4

Cook the bacon slices in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 5 minutes. Remove the bacon and set aside.

Step 5

Using the same skillet or on the grill, cook the beef patties for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare or until the desired doneness is achieved.

Step 6

Place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking, allowing it to melt.

Step 7

Slice the tomato and red onion thinly.

Step 8

Toast the gluten-free buns on the grill or in the oven for about 2 minutes, until lightly golden.

Step 9

To assemble the burgers, spread 1 tablespoon of gluten-free mayonnaise and 1 tablespoon of gluten-free ketchup on the bottom half of each bun.

Step 10

Layer with a piece of lettuce, a few slices of red onion, and 2 slices of pickles.

Step 11

Place the first beef patty on the prepared bun, add 2 slices of bacon, and then layer the second beef patty with cheese on top.

Step 12

Top with a slice of tomato and another piece of lettuce.

Step 13

Finish by placing the top half of the bun over the stack and serve immediately.
