Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Ground beef (85% lean)
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cups Milk
  • 2 pieces Large eggs
  • 1 cup Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 0.33 cups Ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a loaf pan with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, eggs, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, 2 tablespoons of ketchup, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

Step 3

Using clean hands or a large spoon, mix the ingredients until everything is well incorporated, but be careful not to overmix to prevent a dense meatloaf.

Step 4

Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan, pressing it down gently to create an even shape.

Step 5

In a small bowl, make the glaze by mixing the remaining ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard until smooth.

Step 6

Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.

Step 7

Place the loaf pan in the oven and bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the meatloaf reaches 160°F (71°C).

Step 8

Once done, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Step 9

Serve warm with your favorite side dishes like mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables.
