Ingredients

  • 1 lb Large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 4 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 4 Garlic cloves (minced)
  • 0.5 cup Dry white wine
  • 2 tbsp Fresh lemon juice
  • 0.25 tsp Red pepper flakes
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 0.5 tsp Edible glitter (gold or silver)
  • 12 oz Linguine or spaghetti (cooked and drained)
  • 1 tsp Lemon zest

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine or spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain well and set aside.

Step 2

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat until melted and shimmering.

Step 3

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Be careful not to let it burn.

Step 4

Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes on the other side, until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

Step 5

Deglaze the skillet by adding the white wine and lemon juice. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the liquid to reduce slightly.

Step 6

Reduce the heat to low and stir in the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, red pepper flakes, salt, black pepper, and lemon zest. Allow the butter to melt and the sauce to combine.

Step 7

Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet along with the drained pasta. Toss everything together to coat the pasta and shrimp in the sauce.

Step 8

Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the chopped parsley. Sprinkle the edible glitter over the dish evenly for a sparkling finish.

Step 9

Serve immediately, garnished with extra parsley or lemon wedges as desired.
