Ingredients

  • 2 cups Raw almonds
  • 3 tablespoons Maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Ground fennel seeds
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground cayenne pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the maple syrup, olive oil, smoked paprika, ground fennel seeds, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Whisk until the mixture is evenly combined.

Step 3

Add the raw almonds to the bowl and toss until the almonds are completely coated with the glaze.

Step 4

Spread the glazed almonds out in an even layer on the prepared baking sheet.

Step 5

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, stirring the almonds every 5 minutes to ensure even toasting. Be careful not to let them burn.

Step 6

Remove the almonds from the oven and let them cool completely on the baking sheet. The glaze will harden as they cool.

Step 7

Once cooled, transfer the glazed almonds to an airtight container for storage. They can be kept at room temperature for up to 1 week.

Step 8

Serve as a snack or sprinkle over salads for a flavorful crunch!
