Ingredients

  • 1 pound asparagus
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Wash and trim the woody ends off the asparagus spears.

Step 2

In a large skillet, heat olive oil and butter over medium heat until the butter is melted.

Step 3

Mince the garlic cloves and add them to the skillet, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 4

Add the asparagus to the skillet and sauté for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the asparagus turns bright green and begins to soften slightly.

Step 5

In a small bowl, whisk together the honey and soy sauce. Pour the mixture over the asparagus in the skillet.

Step 6

Toss the asparagus to evenly coat it in the glaze, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and the asparagus is tender but still crisp.

Step 7

Season with salt and black pepper to taste, then remove from heat.

Step 8

Transfer the glazed asparagus to a serving platter and serve immediately. Enjoy!
