Ingredients

  • 1 lb Beef flank steak or sirloin
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp Fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp Lime juice
  • 3 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 0.5 tsp Crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 large Carrot, julienned
  • 1 cup Snap peas
  • 1 large Red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 2 Scallions, sliced
  • 1 tsp Sesame seeds (optional)
  • 4 cups Cooked white or brown rice (for serving)

Directions

Step 1

Thinly slice the beef across the grain into bite-sized strips. Transfer to a medium bowl and toss with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch until evenly coated. Set aside.

Step 2

In a small bowl, whisk together the lime juice, soy sauce, honey, the remaining 1 tablespoon of cornstarch, and crushed red pepper flakes. Set the sauce aside for later use.

Step 3

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the beef in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until browned and just cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
