  • 4 pods Green cardamom pods
  • 1 stick Cinnamon stick
  • 3 pieces Cloves
  • 5 pieces Black peppercorns
  • 2 teaspoons Sugar (or sweetener of choice)

Directions

Step 1

Peel and thinly slice the fresh ginger, then gently crush it using the back of a knife or a mortar and pestle.

Crush the green cardamom pods slightly to release their flavor.

In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil over medium heat.
