Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread or baguette
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter, softened
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Slice the French bread or baguette into 1-inch thick slices and set them aside on a baking sheet.

Step 3

In a small mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are fully incorporated.

Step 4

Spread the garlic butter mixture generously on one side of each bread slice using a butter knife or spatula.

Step 5

Arrange the slices, buttered side up, on the baking sheet.

Step 6

Bake the bread in the preheated oven for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and crispy.

Step 7

Optional: For extra crispiness, broil the toasts on high for an additional 1–2 minutes, keeping a close eye to prevent burning.

Step 8

Remove the garlic toasts from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving.

Step 9

Serve warm as a side dish with pasta, soup, or salad, or enjoy as a snack on its own.
