  • 1 whole chicken
  • 8 garlic cloves
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 5 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Pat the chicken dry with paper towels and place it in a large roasting pan.

Peel and lightly smash the garlic cloves. Place half of them inside the cavity of the chicken along with three sprigs of thyme.

Step 4

In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Rub this mixture generously over the skin of the chicken, making sure it's evenly coated.
