Ingredients

  • 500 grams Roast beef, thinly sliced
  • 4 pieces French baguette or ciabatta rolls
  • 4 slices Provolone cheese, sliced
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 120 grams Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 100 grams Fresh arugula or spinach
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Butter, softened

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

Step 2

In a small bowl, combine the minced garlic, mayonnaise, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a creamy garlic aioli and set aside.

Step 3

Slice the baguette or ciabatta rolls in half lengthwise. If desired, lightly butter the cut sides of each roll to enhance flavor.

Step 4

Place the rolls cut-side up on a baking sheet. Put one slice of provolone cheese on the bottom half of each roll.

Step 5

Toast the rolls in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown. Remove from the oven and set aside.

Step 6

While the bread is toasting, heat a skillet over medium heat. Warm the sliced roast beef for 2-3 minutes until heated through, but avoid overcooking to retain its tenderness.

Step 7

Spread a generous layer of the garlic aioli onto the top halves of the toasted rolls.

Step 8

Assemble the sandwiches by layering the warmed roast beef on top of the melted cheese, then adding a handful of arugula or spinach.

Step 9

Close the sandwiches with the top halves of the rolls and gently press them together.

Step 10

Serve immediately while warm and enjoy your homemade Garlic Roast Beef Sandwiches!
