Ingredients

  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 cloves garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

Slice the chicken breasts into thin strips and season with salt and black pepper.

Step 3

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chicken strips and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and fully cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Step 4

In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

Pour in the dry white wine and chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the skillet to release any browned bits. Let the mixture simmer for 3-4 minutes to reduce slightly.

Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet along with the drained linguine. Toss everything together to coat the pasta and chicken in the sauce.

Stir in the grated parmesan cheese and adjust seasoning with additional salt and black pepper, if needed.

Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately with extra parmesan cheese on the side.
